I am employed by Professional Educational Services Group, one of the largest educational groups. They employee a large number of paraprofessionals, substitues and preferred subtitutes. I have a State of Michigan Permit to substitute K-12 and have even substituted for special needs children. I am retired from Genesee County Sheriff's Department and held the position of Deputy/Paramedic, where we performed a dual role of police officer and paramedic services in Genesee County. This job has given me a variety of experience in the different factions of human behavior and development, good communication skills, multi-tasking, problem solving, decision making and medical skills and knowledge. I have also worked at Hurley Medical Center as an Emergency Room Technician. I was initiated into Phi Theta Kappa (the Alpha Omicron Iota Chapter) for maintaining a good Academic record (Dean's list twice for a 4.0 GPA two semesters in a row.) Attending the University of Michigan-Flint (senior standing) has only enhanced my skills in obtaining further learning about human beings and their behavior. My desire to tutor students is very rewarding when you make a difference in their academic skills and their future. To give them the desire to go beyond being tutored, in a subject, then having them master what was once difficult for them in the past. Giving children the inspiration to learn only make them feel the satisfaction "they CAN do it."
